Old photos

I have just ordered a new Hou 13 and the Old Town Charles River is up for sale so I won't be able to post anything new until I collect the new boat.

For now I will post a few photos of my beautiful Charles River from previous trips, mostly on the Beaulieu River since that is the only place I have paddled for a while (another reason to start this blog; I should revisit old places and try some new ones).

Dead Ent Pool in June 2014; some of the Ents spring to life now and again. Yes, I get lazy at times and I don't mean the comfy chair, just the white thing stuck on the side of Rosie Marsh.

Dead Ent Pool in February 2015

On my way back to the slip at Buckler's Hard, February 2015. I had been out for four or five hours and hadn't seen another soul on the water.

Dad's Splash in June 2017, about 1km down river from Beaulieu

... and my previous canoe, an Old Town Discovery 158 in 2006. Parked on the very helpful jetty right next to the Horse and Jockey at Curbridge on a branch of the Hamble. I think this was Spring, going by the blackthorn blossom in the background. Oh yes, I can see some daffs too.

I once misjudged the tide here ... what an awful mess that turned out to be.
